Notes:
A 230th Costal Division was formed the very day of the Allies landing in
Sicily, with elements from the 202nd Costal division and a few extra
reinforceents.

Note:

  1. In Italian use the divs were almost always called using their name only, not the number.
  2. The Mountain Infantry Divisions were ordinary infantry units, with pack-horse artillery.
  3. The type of the units is given at the beginning of the war, or the moment of formation. Several underwent changes of type during the war, so, for example, the 3rd Celere and 4th "Livorno" were all classified as Motorized divisions by 1943.
  4. A good number of "garrison" divisions were formed too, with reduced Artillery, like the 154th "Macerata" and the 156th "Vicenza", as well as many "costal" divisions (/202nd, 206th, 207th, 208th, 209th, 211th, 212th, 213th, 214th, 230th, 277th etc). I will try to post a full list of those divs too.
