CHQ: 1 x T-26 M39 with Radio and opt CMG 1 x T-26 M39 with Radio 4 Platoons each with: 1 x T-26 M39 2 x T-26 M33 Note 1: This organisation was standard for all Light Tank Companies, although in the case of the BT-7 companies, the second CHQ Tank was usually a BT-7A [76*mm] and the Coy Commander's vehicle is a BT-7 with Radio and both MGs. Note 2: BT companies were assigned in the main to those units with medium tank companies, other units being equipped with the T-26. So a good rul of thumb is too only combine T-28s with BTs, although the T-34s were used with whatever happened to be available.
CHQ: 1 x T-28 with Radio, 1 x T-28 4 platoons each with 3 x T-28 Note 1: In light of the experience of the Winter War, a significant proportion of existing T-28s were uparmoured and the balance of T-28s undergoing production were also upgraded to this status. Therefore, organisations from June 1940 onwards could have the CHQ and 2 of each platoon upgraded to T-28E standard. Note 2: For 1941, the T-28 upgrades had effectively been completed, so all T-28s could be of the T-28E type.
CHQ: 1 x T-34 M41 with Radio 2 platoons each with 1 x T-34 M41 with radio, 2 x T-34 M40
CHQ: 1 x T-34 M41 with Radio 3 platoons each with 1 x T-34 M41 with Radio, 1 x T-34 M41 and 1 x T-34 M40 Note 1: this organisation reflects those units which were not held back in Strategic Reserve, but had been thrust into maw of the defensive line before Moscow and Leningrad.
CHQ: 1 x T-34 M41 with Radio 3 Platoons each with 1 x T-34 M41 with Radio, 2 x T-34 M41 Note 1: To avoid the potential *sleaze* tactic of organising the T-34s into a Radio Platoon and two radioless platoons, an SSR stipulating the deployment as in 1d could be added.
