AS HISTORY
DEPARTMENTAL STUDY PERIODS
Every student is expected to identify ONE study period that is to be used exclusively for History each week.
You will be expected to use the same period every week and to stipulate how you intend to use this time, with precise details, e.g. I shall make notes on chapter 4 of Doran’s book on the Puritans rather than I shall read a book or I shall read part of Doran’s book.
This period will also be used for staff when a student needs to catch up with work or to re-do an essay or other assignment. Staff will inform students when this is the case and provide clear instructions on what they expect to be completed within that study period. If any work set by the teacher is not completed within the study period, the teacher will inform the student of when and how it is to be completed.
The sheet will be like this:
