Sir Edward Splunter
Little is known about Sir Edward Splunter. He was born some time in the 15th century. He was a member of the court of Charles of Germany.

He married into the lower nobility of the house of Lancaster. An affair with a memeber of the house of York was said to be the cause of the War of the Roses.

After that, it is thought that he was condemned from the church and and more or less 'kicked out' of Europe.

It was then that he turned to exploration. His ship, the 'Banseye Kittae' sailed to Japan.

Little is known about what he did there, but Sir Edward is credited with the westernization of Japan. It is believed that he was killed by samurai some time later.

In an attempt to return to England, his ship crashed, losing almost all record of his life.

The little record of his life and adventures came from well known journals.

They were the source of much western knowledge on Japan and other eastern regions.

After the ship wreck, some of pages of his infamous journal were salvaged.

Many were unreadable due to damage they had sustained during the wreck, while others were translated and for the most part readable.

Excerpts from these journals are available online. I hope to post some here soon.
