The French Connection. . .
Most vinyl products for the European market were produced in France by Mattel International.  These cases are typically made with a heavier gauge of vinyl and have stronger handles and hardware than those produced in the U.S. and Canada.  Some of these designs were also produced in Germany and Australia.
This VHTF case features Alan wearing "Saturday Date" on deep navy blue vinyl. 1964. This case is an extremely rare variation of the case on the left!  The only difference is the layout of the graphics. This is the only one I've ever seen.
This Skipper and Skooter case features Skipper in a red version of "Fun Time."  This case also comes in yellow vinyl.  1965. This Skipper and Skooter case features Skipper in a "School Girl."  This case also comes in blue vinyl.  1965.
This rare Francie case is in all white vinyl and has only 2 pictures of Francie.  Here she is in an off-color version of "Gad-about." The second Francie graphic on this case shows a unique picture of Francie in "Clam Diggers," again in an unusual color.
A bubble cut Barbie models "Enchanted Evening" on this lovely case. 1962. This stunning case features Swirl Barbie in "Magnificence."  Also came in black. 1966.
This beautiful case has an American Girl Barbie in "Benefit Performance." It also came in black vinyl. 1966.
This case features an American Girl Barbie dressed in "London Tour."  It also comes in red vinyl.  1967.
