09/16/02 - Hi, thanks for visiting Hist. 126 Study Guide with L. Padilla.  I just finished typing up all of the vocabulary and couldn't see not having it being utilized by others.  If you would like to send me a .txt file of notes to post on this site (any notes from videos, readings, lectures, vocabulary...), I'll gladly do so.  The Guest Book below is for any comments you may wish to share with me or other students.  Please inform others in class about this web site.   I want it to be a helpful place where students can learn something... or just get notes. Feel free to print out whatever you like.  Good luck in class and I'll see you all there!!
Friday 09/20/02 - Hello again!  For the video quiz on Monday (it's in class as I asked her today),  I won't type up all of my notes unless I get MANY requests because it's a lot of notes.  But, if you type your notes up and send it to me (you can email it), I'll post it hopefully before Sunday.   Or, you could go to the discussion board and upload your file.
     As you may have noticed, our next reading quiz, #3, (chapter 8, and ch. 5)  is this coming Wednesday.  There is no study guide for Chapter 8 to my knowledge. If someone would kindly volunteer to send me notes on ch 8, I'd greatly appreciate it!! thank you!!
Monday 09/23/02 - The reading quiz has been moved to Friday 09/27 as the teacher mentioned in lecture today.  This gives us (all who are part of this; if this is your first visit, this includes you) a little more time to work together as a team.  So far, no one has sent me any info or help.  YES, I do want / NEED notes or help from you if possible.  It would greatly help my effort!! Thank You.
Weds 09/25/02 - Final answers are posted on the web site for the video quiz #1.  I haven't started reading yet and other people have helped me with some notes.  Thanks to all the people who have helped with the video quiz.  This Friday is another reading quiz.  Good luck.
Weds 09/25/02 - Whew Hoo!  Yipeee!  The reading  quiz was given out in class today.  We will work together and hopefully have it done successfully.  For the latest results, check back frequently.  I will not notify updates to anyone unless requested.

      The site is still going on. The reason it hasn't been updated is because I haven't gotten any requests for the video/ or lecture quiz notes. I don't think it would have helped much. BUT, for the reading quiz on "Monday", yes it's been changed, I will try to update it as I get notes on the Key Terms or outside essay notes. We don't have vocabulary on "The Rice Room" do we? Email me with any questions.

     Thank you to those who cooperated in choosing to helping me with the Rain of Gold Study guide: Edwin, Jeremy, Anthony, Matt, Mara, Sarah, April, Tim, Will and Dan.  Key Terms for Ch 7 Limerick are now posted.  I just finished reading it! whew.  By the way (BTW), how many of you used the "Rice Room" synopsis to their advantage?  Email me to let me know you used it if you did to make me feel better.  I don't want to feel that it's a waste of my time.  thanks

     More notes have arrived for Rain of Gold.  Some attatchments aren't recognized by my cpu.  If you're doing a chapter, please send it to me ASAP.  Everything that I received is posted on the site under "synopsis05".  However, some information couldn't be used due to technological difficulties.  Good luck on the two test (video and reading).  Don't forget, Limerick Key Terms are posted below.  If you find "Mexican Traditions"   for the essay, Please tell me what page it's on. I'll be up as late as 12am for sure.  At 8am tomorrow, I'll stop updating the site (time to goto school).

     How did everyone do on Rain of Gold and the video quiz?  Requests for certain chapters are out for Indian Killer (IK).  If you didn't get the original email, let me know and I'll send it to you via email.  I'll be reading Limerick (hey at least I did good on that part of the reading exam!).  We're supposed to be on page 200 something by tomorrow in IK.  I'll see you in class.  Take care.
