"Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." Hebrews 12:12-14

We shouldn't go through our daily lives complaining all the time. When we have days when we are feeling bad, or are down, we must do our best as Christians, to look on the bright side! I, personally, have gotten into the habit of the single word "Wonderful!" When people ask me how I am, or how things are going for me, this is always my response ~ because I am wonderfully glad to be a child of God! How much more could I possibly want in this life of mine? He has blessed me in so many ways!
Some people constantly complain ~ going around with their heads and arms hanging down. We should not be seeing this in Christians. We need to be examples for others. May I say to you, "Someone is watching you!" How are you enduring the trouble that comes from God? My hope is, through faith! We should always be telling ourselves, "It is my Father, and He is chastening me. There is a purpose in it and a lesson to I want to learn."
"Make straight paths for your feet." Are we to walk the straight path so that the weak saints might follow in our footsteps? Or, are we to walk the straight path so that we don't get in the habit of limping through life? I'm not quite sure what the writer meant by this, but I do know there are a lot of Christians today who walk through life complaining and criticizing and are not good witnesses for God at all!
Be encouraged and be at peace with all men ~ all who will let you be at peace with them. There are some people who just won't be at peace. Let us pray for them! Follow peace with all men ~ with all Christian men. We should make this one big cross-country race where there there are a lot of us running the Christian life together!
"And holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." If this means that I have to produce holiness, then I am going to give up, because I haven't any holiness ~ none of us do! But, oh, the peace I have which came through the blood of Christ! "Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). If we have any holiness, it is because Christ has been made unto us righteousness ~ He is our righteousness!
May God bless you as you run the race for Christ, push on to victory, accomplish your goal, with the strength you draw from God.

Love in Christ,
Sandy
