| A WALK AND TALK WITH GOD I took a walk into the woods, And come upon a creek; With nature's beauty 'round me there, The fragrant smell was sweet. The air was crisp and breezy, Birds chirping in the trees. The water trickled over rocks as I knelt donw on my knees. I prayed "Dear God, forgive me, If I've failed Thee today, And help me walk the narrow path, That You set for my way. And help me to do always what You would have me do, To set a good example, Of the love that shines through You." I know that God could hear my prayer, For the water seemed to still; The bird's stopped chirping in the trees, Which surely was His will. "Be still my child, I've loved you, from the day you were conceived; I've walked beside you every day, Since when you first believed. Now rise! and take My joy with you, To spread throughout the land I lived for you ~ I died for you! Now go, and make your stand! Go out and tell My children, Of the cross I had to bear, So they could have eternal life, In heaven with Me there." ~ Sandy Sexton |

| Soliloquy When evening comes, I meditate On what the day has brought, And do my best to understand What lessons have been taught. For I believe the reason why We have been given birth Is we must meet the challenges That we face here on earth. Life isn't just a one-way street Where we can't lift our voices. From birth until the day we die, We're given many choices. I have to question, did I try To really understand The needs of other people And lend a helping hand? If I will just remember To light one little spark Which brightens someone else's life That otherwise is dark. Then I may find contentment In doing what I can, And know that there's a reason I've been chosen for His plan. God puts each new day into our hands as a gift to see what we will do with it. I hope tomorrow I will be more pleasing to Him than I was today. May God bless you with His wonderous love and grace. Love & Prayers, Sandy |
