"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." 1Peter 1:3-5

As Christians, our destination should most definitely shape our attitudes! God's Word has given us the ending of our life story, and the ending is indeed glorious! At the end of our journey ~ after all the trials and tribulations ~ is Christ! He has lived for us, He died for us, and He is waiting for us!

Being aware of our destination, we have our hearts set on the things that are above. Therefore, we approach life with confidence and with the kind of love we have come to know in Christ Jesus. We can always find this truth: Where there is faith, there is also love and hope! Our destination does shape our attitude ~ and if it doesn't, we need to read Peter's words over and over again. We have a promise from God, as His children, for an eternity of love, peace, and joy ~ how much more could we possibly want promised us? If you need more, you need an attitude adjustment ~ you'll find it in your Bible!

Application:
If you need encouragment, Peter's words here, offer joy and hope in times of trouble, where he bases his confidence on what God has done for us in Christ. If you have trusted God as your Savior, you have an inheritance in God's Kingdom that will never fade away, that will be unstained by sin. Have faith ~ keep a joyful attitude about you ~ God will help us through the difficult times we encounter as we remain true to our faith in Him.

May God bless you with a wonderful day as your faith and your love s-t-r-e-t-c-h to shape your attitude with that certain hope of heaven's home awaiting you.

Love in Christ,
Sandy
