| "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1Corinthians 10:13 Christian believers are wrongly taught if they believe that the Christian life is a guarantee against human trials and problems. If they believe that, they have mistaken earth for heaven, and expect conditions here below which can never be realized until we reach God's heavenly kingdom above. God makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and He sends His rain on the just and the unjust. It is strange that we rarely notice the other side of this truth ~ God also visits His children with the usual problems common to all the children of men. If we cannot remove our problems, our heartaches, our pain, we must pray for grace to endure them without murmuring. We will learn, also, that problems patiently endured will work for our spiritual perfecting. Think of our Lord and Savior ~ He was surrounded by enemies from the day of His birth. They constituted a real and lasting problem which He simply had to endure His entire time on this earth. Are our problems any more complicated than those our precious Savior endured? This is something we all need to think about when we face difficult situations in our lives. Remember, when you are facing temptations and problems in your life, take it to God. He will always show you the way back to Him and peace will once again overcome you. Have a wonderfully blessed day in the Lord. Love to you all in Christ Jesus |
