| "If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?" Luke 11:11 If you were to ever ask your earthly father for bread, would he have given you a stone? Or if you wereto have asked him for a fish, would he have given you a serpent? Before you go to God in prayer, make sure He is REALLY your Father! "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12). Believing that the Lord Jesus Christ died for you and rose again for your justification make you a son of God. When you trust Christ as your Savior, you are baptized by the Spirit of God into the body of Christ, and you are s son who can go to God and say, "Father."
