| "And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word." 1Kings 18:36 It would be great if everyone would recognize the fact that if God doesn't do it, it's not going to be done. Elijah's prayer here is one of the great prayers of Scripture ~ not long, but great! He said, "LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel. . ." Notice that Elijah used the term Israel, not Jacob. Well, Israel is the name given not to just twelve tribes, but to one nation. Also inhs prayer Elijah said, "Let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word." We need to be sure that what we are doing is according to the will of God. Don't do something that you want to do and then ask God to bless it. God doesn't move that way. We must go His route if we want to receive His blessing. We have no right to demand anything of Him. He is not "our" servant ~ we are "His!" Let us pray according to His will aways. God Bless You.
