| "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." James 1:5-6 "Wisdom" here is related to trials, troubles and problems. When we lack wisdom in regard to a problem, we need to go to God in prayer. Wisdom is the exercise and practical use of knowledge, but has no practical sense whatsoever. Wisdom is to know how to act under certain circumstances of testing, of trial, or when problems arise. Life is filled with these, and we need wisdom from God. God is in the business of giving out wisdom "liberally" ~ that is simply. He will simply help us out in times of trouble. "But let hm ask in faith, nothing wavering." Do you believe God will help you? As a Christian, do you have a long face today? Are you wondering how your problems will work out? Trust Him and turn them over to Him. We have a heavenly Father who can supply the wisdom we need. "For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." We say, "I believe God is going to work this out," but then we jump at it ourselves and make our own decisions. We decide that nothing has shown up by way of solution, so we solve it ourselves. That's where we make our mistake! We are then "like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." When we lack wisdom, let's go to God ~ He will hear and answer our prayers if we will just practice a little more faith and have patience. God Bless You. <J>< E>< S>< U><S>< <S><A><V><E><S>< |
