| "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." Galatians 3:27-29 "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ" ~ God sees you in Christ ~ therefore He sees you as perfect. In this body of believers "there is neither Jew nor Greek." In Christ are no racial lines. Any person in Christ is our brother or sister, and the color of the skin makes no difference. It should be the "heart" which we are concerned with. There are many folks walking around with "black" hearts ~ and they are NOT our brothers or sisters! It is only in Christ Jesus that we are made one ~ and we will all be together throughout eternity! "There is neither bond nor free." Capital and labor are oft at odds with one another, and the only thing that could bring them together is Christ, of course. "There is neither male nor female." Christ does what "women's lib" can never do ~ He makes us one in Christ! "And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed" ~ because of the fact that Abraham was saved by faith, and we are saved by faith. Abraham brought a small animal to sacrifice, which looked forward to the coming of the Son of God, the supreme sacrifice. Today, we know that Christ has already come ~ over two thousand years ago ~ the Son of God came and died on the cross for us that we might have life, and we trust Him. If we are in Christ, then we belong to Abraham's seed, and we are heirs according to the promise. How wonderful for us! The original promise to Abraham was intended for the whole world, not just for Abraham's descendants (see Genesis 12). All believers participate in this promise and are blessed as children of Abraham. May God bless you with a wonderful day as you remember all believer's are His heirs, and your brother's and sister's ~ no matter what background they have or how superior they are. We are ONE in Christ Jesus. Love in Christ Jesus, Sandy |
