"For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord; whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's." Romans 14:7-8

At rimes it appears that in our "Christian world" people are converted to a church rather than to Jesus Christ! Loyalty to a body of believers seems to have priority over allegiance to the Lord Jesus.
Is it possible for a person to simply just be a "Christian?" Must we separate ourselves with some denominational name such as Methodist or Baptist or Prebyterian, etc? God doesn't divide believers into various denominations. However, His people certainly do!

Even with our own church groups, we are frequently at variance with our brother's and sister's over some biblical understanding. What authority does one believer have in saying, "I'm right, you're wrong!" or "I am more honest than you."? I'm certain the Bible is right, but does it necessarily follow that I am the one who has perfect understanding? Of course not! Do you have differences with family members over some convictions? Does this mean you are no longer a member of the family? Of course not!

If there can be no unity in diversity, there is simply no possibility of unity, for we all differ in many things. But, we are all the Lord's!

Let us remember the Words of the Lord to Jacob in Isaiah 43:1:
"BUT now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine."

If you are a redeemed child of Christ, then I suggest,
"Remember Whose You Are!"

May the Lord bless you with a wonderful day.

Empty is the life that is filled only by "things"

Love in Christ Jesus, Sandy
