"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always
having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As
it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his
righteousness remaineth for ever. Now he that ministereth seed to the
sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown,
and increase the fruits of your righteousness;) Being enriched in every
thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to
God." 2Corinthians 9:8-11

"God is able to make all grace abound toward you. . ." You will be made
rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and
your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
In each worship service we are again reminded of what God has done for
us and of what we can do in serving God. We need that reminder!
Our heavenly Father does not supply our needs on a strict percentage
basis. He does not distribute His gifts according to a carefully worked
out budget. God gives royally, lavishly, despite our unworthiness,
without asking how much we deserve.
But how much shall WE give? Mindful of God's generosity, we are helped
to a decision by two simple questions, sincerely and carefully answered:
How great is the real need? How much do we have that we could give?
A few may be able to build a cathedral. And practically every one of us
can give a piece of bread, the kind of gift Christ will commend on
Judgment Day. Our gift will probably be between a cathedral and a piece
of bread. One word ought to describe our contribution: GENEROUS ~ in the
eyes of God, that is. We must aways keep in mind: HE KNOWS!!!
God Bless you as you are mindful of God's generosity, that you may be
generous too.
