| I specialize in watercolor paintings of flowers and abstract designs. My unique style is at the same time detailed and romantic. I mostly use gansai Japanese watercolors. Born and raised on a flower farm in Niigata prefecture in northern Japan, I was also inspired to paint flowers by the many bouquets fans gave me in my other career, as a jazz vocalist.
