You face the conflicting priorities when your opponent rolls an early 6-6. You would rather stay on the 24-point and maximize shot chances, but staying back increases the risk of getting trapped behind opponent's growing prime.
13/8 6/4 is appealing, but it is important to have a coverage of White's 9-point by splitting the back checkers, since it will make some of White's 4's awkward. True, there is danger of being attacked, but since Blue has the stronger board and he is already in a trouble Blue has to live with the risk.
I will go for the gutso and play 24/22 13/8.
