Blue should bring a builder down with the 3.  The choices are 6/5 and 24/23 with the ace.
White's 8-point is stripped, which is a strong argument for the split.  Also, the split makes it harder for White to unstack the heavy mid-point.

6/5 puts a checker where it belongs, but the potential downside to this play is that it starts to strip the 6-point.  Still, that extra builder for all the remaining inner-board points is quite valuable.

The deciding factor for me is that White has not yet split his back checkers, so it isn't vital for Black to split his own now.  And more importantly, it is clear that the checker on the 6-point belongs to the 5-point.

13/10 6/5 is my small preference.
