White has only one checker back, and Red would like to attack this checker. Slotting the 5-point with 13/11 6/5 is the direct way to do this, so the play makes good thematic sense and is certainly worth thinking about.
The downside to this play is that Red loses a lot of ground if the slot is hit, and if missed, White will probably bring builders down from the mid-point, and if Red is fortunate enough to hit an indirect shot, the blot on the 5-point will be exposed to a double-shot.
24/23 13/11 looks most natural. This puts pressure on all parts of the board with relative safety.
Preventing White from unstacking the heavy mid-point safely seems to be a number one priority.
