When your opponent has made his 3-point, splitting the back checkers isn't as attractive as when he has made the 4 or 5-point.
The danger of being primed isn't as serious, while your opponent will be more anxious to blitz since he has a fairly deep inner-board point.
Red's game plan should be aiming for priming battles. Bringing two builders down makes it harder for White to make an advanced anchor. I like 13/10 13/11 at all scores and for Money.
