Revelation 11:15-19 "And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our L-rd, and of his Christ (Mashiach); and he shall reign for ever and ever. And the four and twenty elders, which sat before G-d on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped G-d, Saying, We give thee thanks, O L-rd G-d Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. And the temple of G-d was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his covenant: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. (KJV)
The 7th trumpet consists of 7 bowl (vial) judgments. It is also referred to as the 3rd woe. It takes place during the second half of the tribulation period.
The 7th trumpet is announced here in chapter 11 but the 7 bowl judgments are not poured out until chapter 16. We have a couple of difficult chapters coming up in 12-15.
So the 7th trumpet is blown and we find the 24 elders, who represent the church, worshipping G-d.
Notice they say in Rev 11:15 "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our L-rd, and of his Christ (Mashiach); and he shall reign for ever and ever. (KJV)
Y'shua has not taken the throne of David yet. But here the saints (the church) are speaking as if He already has. This is known as prophetic proleptic speech. That which regards future events as so certain so as to speak of them as already having been accomplished. This happens often in Jewish prophecy. In other words, it is so certain that Y'shua will win the victory, (Praise G-d!) that it is written in the past tense as if it has already happened.
In verse 19 we get a glimpse of the Temple in Heaven. The lightening, thunder, earthquake and hail symbolize the wrath of G-d about to be poured out on the earth. The second half of the Tribulation period is known as the Great Tribulation.
We see the "ark" in the heavenly temple. Some believe that
this is the same ark that resided in the earthly temple and was miraculously
transported to Heaven. It seems to be a copy of the earthly one. Perhaps
the earthly ark is a copy of the one in heaven.
