1 Corinthians 15:51-53 "Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not
all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of
an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall
be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must
put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. (KJV)
Notice both of these passages mention a trumpet sounding.
Who will be raptured? The church.
Remember "the church" consists of all believers in Y'shua,
both Jewish and Gentile, from the start of the church on the day of Pentecost
until the "rapture".
The rapture ends "the church age".
Matt 24:36-44 "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not
the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were,
so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were
before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,
until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood
came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man
be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other
left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and
the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your L-rd doth
come. But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what
watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered
his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour
as ye think not the Son of man cometh." (KJV)
Notice this event is immediate, sudden, and could happen at any time.
The dead believers will be raised from the dead and given their new glorified
bodies. Then those believers that are alive will be transformed in an instant
and transported to meet Y'shua in the clouds.
Very important note: We meet Y'shua in the clouds. Y'shua does NOT stand
on the earth again until His second coming. We will discuss the second coming
later in the book of Revelation.
