John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
He came into the world as a light for us to continue to be in His light. He was not of the world. Men love the darkness and receive spiritual death and remain in their sins rather than see the light.
Yeshua is �the light�.
John 3:20 "For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
Now substitute Yeshua for the light.
John 3:20 "For everyone who does evil hates Yeshua, and does not come to Yeshua, lest his deeds should be exposed.
John 3:21 "But he who practices the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in G-d."
Again substitute Yeshua for the light.
John 3:21 "But he who practices the truth comes to Yeshua, that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in G-d."
Conclusion: If you practice �truth� you will come to Yeshua. If you hate Yeshua you do evil.
We come to the light and our labors will be done for Him and done by His will.
John 3:22 After these things came Yeshua (Jesus) and His disciples came into the land of Judea; and there He tarried with them, and baptized (immersed).
John 3:23-26 And John also was baptizing (Immersing) in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized (immersed). For John was not yet cast into prison. Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying. And they came to John, and said to him, �Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have borne witness, behold, He is baptizing (Immersing), and all are coming to Him."
John was Messiah-observant and declared Him.
Matt 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, Him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
We cannot come to Yeshua unless the Father leads us to Him.
John 3:28-29 You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ (Anointed), but that I am sent before Him. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
Yeshua is our joy.
Those that came to Him before His death, burial and resurrection are not considered the bride. John like all of the fathers before Yeshua�s death and resurrection are friends of the bridegroom.
John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
John�s role was to decrease while Yeshua�s role is to increase.
John 3:31 He that comes from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth: He that comes from heaven is above all.
Yeshua comes from above. John bears witness with many others. He was a true witness. What is truth? His word is truth.
Ephesians 1:13 In whom you also trusted, after that you heard the word of truth, the gospel (good tidings) of your salvation: in whom also after that you believed, you were sealed with that Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) of promise,
John 3:33-34 He that has received his testimony has set to his seal that G-d is true. For he whom G-d has sent speaks the words of G-d: for G-d gives not the Spirit by measure to him.
We speak the truth through the word of G-d and through the Spirit. The seal is the Spirit of G-d. We all have been sealed through His Spirit to His promise of Spiritual birth. This is a new birth and is different in that it cannot be taken away from us.
John 3:35-36 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of G-d abides on him."
The curse of sin was death. We all die. The question is has the guilt offering by Father through the Son been accepted by you to provide your ticket to continued life after death?
Only the offering by the Son stops the wrath of the Father.
