John Chapter 10 (Continued)

Psalms 91 He will order His angels to be responsible for you. They will support you with their hands, so that you will not hurt your feet on the stones. (Law)

My soul waits in silence for G-d alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I won't be greatly moved.

John 10:19-20 There arose a division again among the Jews because of these words. And many of them were saying, "He has a demon and is insane. Why do you listen to Him?"

Again the skeptics claim that He has a demon. They either curse or laugh because it makes them feel better.

Heb 4:11-12 Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. For the word of G-d is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Love is in our hearts. Yet this love is without fear of spiritual death from sin or the ministration that revealed our weakness and revealed our path to spiritual death. It is still declared against those that have not accepted His Son. Except now the law no longer even covers your sin because animal sacrifices have stopped. If you have not accepted Messiah your sin remains. Breaking one part of the law required spiritual death.

James 2:7-10 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called? If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, you shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well: But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convicted of the law as transgressors. For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

The Messiah is in our hearts to fulfill the law of the Messiah. Love of the Spirit not the letter. We obey this out of love for Messiah, not from fear of punishment or out of requirement that would bring spiritual death. Its a love that comes from the Messiah. We are dead and He live on in us and through us.

Gal 6:2-3 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Messiah (Christ). For if a man thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Righteousness does not come from the law it comes from the Messiah alone.

John 10:21 Others were saying, "These are not the sayings of one demon-possessed. A demon cannot open the eyes of the blind, can he?"

Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?

John 10:22-23 At that time the Feast of the Dedication took place at Jerusalem; it was winter, and Yeshua (Jesus) was walking in the temple in the portico of Solomon.

This is Hanukkah. It is the only reference to Hanukkah in the Bible.

John 10:24 The Jews therefore gathered around Him, and were saying to Him, "How long will You keep us in suspense? If You are the Messiah (Christ), tell us plainly."

They ask Him point blank if He is the Messiah.

John 10:25 Yeshua (Jesus) answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father's name, these bear witness of Me.

John 10:26-27 "But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep. "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;

Yeshua answers them by telling them that His sheep, followers, know and recognize Him.

John 10:28 and I give eternal life to them, and they shall never perish; and no one shall snatch them out of My hand.

This is speaking of Eternal Security. There are some who believe that it is possible to loose ones salvation. Yeshua tells us that He holds His sheep in the palm of His hand and no one can remove them. They cant remove themselves.

John 10:29 "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

He tells us that the believers are also in the hand of the Father and cannot be removed from His hand.

John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."

Yeshua and the Father are One. The L-rd G-d is One. Unity + Diversity: Son of His right hand. As a part of Him to do what His Father wants done. Interestingly the tribe of Benjamin also means Son of my right hand. Maybe they where called this for this reason? Yet, G-ds Son would come through a Son of David, from the tribe of Judah.

By saying this Yeshua is declaring Himself to be G-d.

John 10:31 The Jews took up stones again to stone Him.

The crowd understood that Yeshua was claiming to be G-d and instead of considering His claim they attempted to stone Him.

John 10:32-38 Yeshua (Jesus) answered them, "I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?" The Jews answered Him, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be G-d." Yeshua (Jesus) answered them, "Has it not been written in your Law, 'I said, you are gods'? "If he called them gods, to whom the word of G-d came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,' You are blaspheming,' because I said,' I am the Son of G-d'? "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do them, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father.

His works confirmed what He said. If we have faith in Yeshua we will have works too.

Yeshua quoted Psalm 82:6 I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Yeshua was saying: If you can be called gods or children of the Most High,

Why do you fault me for claiming to be the Son of G-d? Good point.

John 10:39 Therefore they were seeking again to seize Him, and He eluded their grasp.

He, Yeshua, is surrounded by an angry mob that wanted to stone Him to death, but He miraculously escaped. The scriptures do not explain how He did this.

John 10:40-42 And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there. And many came to Him and were saying, "While John performed no sign, yet everything John said about this man was true." And many believed in Him there.

The scriptures tell us that MANY BELIEVED YESHUA IS THE MESSIAH. These first believers were Jewish.
