B'resheet 7:21-23 And all flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noach was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.
Even the birds outside the ark could not have continued to fly for too long. Those that could swim where probably killed by the storm that ragged for this extended period of time.
There are over 270 flood stories told in cultures all over the earth, they have their origin in this one global event.
B'resheet 7:24 And the water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days. (NAS)
This 150 days seems to include the 40 days of the flood. So far we have about 5 months of time they are in the ark but we are not finished.
Adonai could not let man continue in sin and depravity. He would have ultimately destroyed himself and all of creation. He could not let those who did not want to follow Him come in the way of His plan for those that choose to follow Him. Today we have those that will laugh or reject Him. They would rather follow HaSatan. There will be no middle ground in the end because mankind cannot be separated from his tendency toward evil without a Savior. Sooner or latter mankind when they choose to follow the ruler of this world, are eventually lead to their downfall and destruction.
2 Peter 3:1-13 This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you in which I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the words spoken beforehand by the holy prophets and the commandment of the L-rd and Savior spoken by your apostles. Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation." For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of G-d the heavens existed long ago and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water. But the present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the Day of Judgment and destruction of ungodly men. But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the L-rd one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The L-rd is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. But the day of the L-rd will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of G-d, on account of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (NAS)
Those that hate Adonai would rather be destroyed than follow Him. This is exactly what HaSatan wants too because he hates mankind because we are made in His image. He especially hates those that follow His Son.
Why?
Those that follow His Son declare how Yeshua has washed our sins away, how Yeshua gives us victory over death and finally how Yeshua will have a final victory over him and his followers.
The Father has a plan for Yeshua Ben David to reign for a thousand years and if He lets the destruction continue there would be no longer any planet or people to save. G-d then in His mercy will give mankind on earth to again still have a choice will to reject Him even though one can physically see Him sitting on His throne on earth. We will see again certain members of mankind reject Him. After one thousand years, HaSatan will again be released for one last time and lead those who follow him to go against Him on His throne on earth.
