B'resheet (Genesis) Chapter 5 (Continued)

B'resheet 5:9-11 And Enosh lived ninety years, and became the father of Kenan. Then Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years after he became the father of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.

B'resheet 5:12-14 And Kenan lived seventy years, and became the father of Mahalal'el (Mahalalel). Then Kenan lived eight hundred and forty years after he became the father of Mahalal'el (Mahalalel), and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.

B'resheet 5:15-17 And Mahalal'el (Mahalalel) lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Yered (Jared). Then Mahalal'el (Mahalalel) lived eight hundred and thirty years after he became the father of Yered (Jared), and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Mahalal'el (Mahalalel) were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.

B'resheet 5:18-20 And Yered (Jared) lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and became the father of Hanokh (Enoch). Then Yered (Jared) lived eight hundred years after he became the father of Hanokh (Enoch), and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Yered (Jared) were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.

B'resheet 5:21-24 And Hanokh (Enoch) lived sixty-five years, and became the father of Metushelach (Methuselah). Then Hanokh (Enoch) walked with G-d three hundred years after he became the father of Metushelach (Methuselah), and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Hanokh (Enoch) were three hundred and sixty-five years. And Hanokh (Enoch) walked with G-d; and he was not, for G-d took him.

Enoch ascended into the heavens like Yeshua ascended into the heavens at the last time He was seen by the talmidim. The Father was pleased with Hanokh (Enoch) and decided to take him home. We too will one day ascend into the heavens. This is known as the rapture. All believers will be taken home to heaven to be with HaShem.

Note- There are three heavens. 1) The atmosphere that surrounds the earth - where the birds fly. 2) Outer Space - home of the sun moon and stars. 3) Heaven where G-d dwells.

2 Cor 12:2-4 2 I know a man in (Messiah) Christ who fourteen years ago-- whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, G-d knows-- such a man was caught up to the third heaven. And I know how such a man-- whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, G-d knows-- was caught up into Paradise, and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. NAS

There were only two individuals in the Bible that never died. Hanokh (Enoch) is on and Elijah was the other one. Both symbolize those bother Jewish and Gentile who will never face death and be raptured by Yeshua. Some believe that Hanokh (Enoch) and Elijah will be the two witnesses in come during the Tribulation period.

Rev 11:3 "And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth."

B'resheet 5:25 And Metushelach (Methuselah) lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and became the father of Lamekh (Lamech).

Methuselah - names means - "when he is dead, it shall be sent" This is referring to the coming Flood.

He lived longer than any other person.

Who does ancient Metushelach (Methuselah) point us too? The Ancient of days or the Father this time. He had a son at a very old age. He blessed him with a child at One Hundred and eighty-seven years. Specifically a son!

B'resheet 5:26 Then Metushelach (Methuselah) lived seven hundred and eighty-two years after he became the father of Lamekh (Lamech), and he had other sons and daughters.

Notice it says AFTER he became the father of Lamekh (Lamech) he had other sons and daughters. This reminds me of the Father having a Son after many years. His Son being born in the flesh and because G-d was the father of this son He also became the father of many of us in the spiritual sense.

B'resheet 5:27 So all the days of Metushelach (Methuselah) were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.

B'resheet 5:28 And Lamekh (Lamech) lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and became the father of a son.

B'resheet 5:29 Now he called his name Noach (Noah), saying, "This one shall give us rest from our work and from the toil of our hands arising from the ground which the L-RD (Adonai) has cursed."

Noach -means restful

Noach gave them rest from the toil and cursed ground. Sound like someone else?

Yes, you guessed. Noach (Noah) is a type pointing to the Real Deal again. Both are a blessing.

Noah was a carpenter like Yeshua. He crafted a wooden vessel that would be used to lead his family from certain death to life. Yeshua died on a wooden stake and all that place their faith in Him pass from certain spiritual death to eternal life.

Remember all things where made by HIM and for Him and He is before all things.

Colossians 1:16-17 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-- all things have been created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. NAS

Noah also suffered greatly on a vessel made out of a piece of wood. Rain, windy sea and storms would toss them around for days and days on end. But I'm getting a little ahead of myself here.

B'resheet 5:30-31 Then Lamekh (Lamech) lived five hundred and ninety-five years after he became the father of Noach (Noah), and he had other sons and daughters. So all the days of Lamekh (Lamech) were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.

B'resheet 5:32 And Noach (Noah) was five hundred years old, and Noach (Noah) became the father of Shem, Ham, and Yefet (Japheth).

Could it be that Shem, Ham, and Yefet (Japheth) where triplets? It is not conclusive from the text.
