B'resheet (Genesis) Chapter 46 (Continued)

B'resheet 46:28-31 Now he sent Y'hudah before him to Yosef, to point out the way before him to Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen. And Yosef prepared his chariot and went up to Goshen to meet his father Israel; as soon as he appeared before him, he fell on his neck and wept on his neck a long time. Then Israel said to Yosef, "Now let me die, since I have seen your face, that you are still alive." And Yosef said to his brothers and to his father's household, "I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and will say to him, 'My brothers and my father's household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me;

Y'hudah is beginning to assume the role as leader among the sons of Israel instead of Reuven the first-born.

This is also a picture of when Yeshua was presented at the temple as a baby. Shim'on made a similar statement as Israel did.

Luke 2:25-32 And there was a man in Yerushalayim whose name was Shim'on; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) was upon him. And it had been revealed to him by Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) that he would not see death before he had seen the L-rd's Messiah. And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Yeshua, to carry out for Him the custom of the Torah (Law), then he took Him into his arms, and made a b'rakhah (blessed) G-d, and said, "Now L-rd, You are releasing Your bond-servant to depart in peace, According to Your word; For my eyes have seen Your Yeshua (salvation), Which You have prepared in the presence of all peoples, A LIGHT OF REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, And the GLORY of YOUR PEOPLE ISRAEL."

One day Israel will see Him rule and see Him face to face. One day we too will see Him face to face.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know fully just as I also have been fully known.

B'resheet 46:32-34 and the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock; and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.' "And it shall come about when Pharaoh calls you and says, 'What is your occupation?' that you shall say,' Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,' that you may live in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is loathsome to the Egyptians. "

Because the Egyptians found shepherds to be an abomination, the children of Israel were set apart in the land of Goshen and were able to retain their own identity.

Yosef did not feel this way about shepherds and neither does Yeshua.

Israel became a Shepherd for the Egyptians. Yeshua is the good shepherd.

John 10:14-17 I am the good shepherd; and I know My own, and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. "And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they shall hear My voice; and they shall become one flock with one shepherd.

We are to be Shepherds to others spiritually. We are to feed others the W-rd of HaShem. He cares for us. He provides for our needs physically and spiritually. He also gives us the desires of our hearts.

Tehillim (Psalm) 37:4 Delight yourself in the L-RD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.

He gives us wisdom.

James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of G-d, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

If you doubt Yeshua is the Messiah as for wisdom from HaShem. Feed on the word. Faith (Trust) comes from hearing and hearing from the Word of G-d.
