Sh'mot (Exodus) Chapter 39 (Continued)

Sh'mot 39:33-43 And they brought the tabernacle to Moshe, the tent and all its furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, and its pillars and its sockets; and the covering of rams' skins dyed red, and the covering of porpoise skins, and the screening veil; the ark of the testimony and its poles and the mercy seat; the table, all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; the pure gold lampstand, with its arrangement of lamps and all its utensils, and the oil for the light; and the gold altar, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the veil for the doorway of the tent; the bronze altar and its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the laver and its stand; the hangings for the court, its pillars and its sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court, its cords and its pegs and all the equipment for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; the woven garments for ministering in the holy place and the holy garments for Aharon the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests. So the sons of Israel did all the work according to all that the L-RD had commanded Moshe. And Moshe examined all the work and look, they had done it; just as the L-RD had commanded, this they had done. So Moshe blessed them. NAS

We have spent a great deal of time studying the significance if various aspects of the tabernacle. The believer's body is described as the temple of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit).

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 Do you not know that you are a temple of G-d, and that the Spirit of G-d dwells in you? If any man destroys the temple of G-d, G-d will destroy him, for the temple of G-d is holy, and that is what you are.

Spend some time thinking about that this week. If you have accepted Yeshua as your Messiah, Ruach HaKodesh dwells within you. Reflect on that. Remember that the High Priest could only go into the Holy of Holies one day a year, and if he were not right with G-d he would drop dead in G-d's presence. This study should help us to realize that we, as believers in Yeshua, must live a blameless life before G-d. G-d indwells our bodies. What a humbling thought! We must bring our thoughts, words, and deeds into subjection to Him. If we pollute our bodies with alcohol, tobacco, drugs, junk food, we defile the Temple of HaShem. If we do not keep our bodies in top physical condition, we defile the Temple of HaShem.

Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things; and the G-d of peace shall be with you.

If we feast our minds on the garbage of this world rather than on the things of the L-rd, we sin. We defile the Temple of HaShem.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), who is in you, whom you have from G-d, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify G-d in your body.

When you accept Yeshua as your Mashiach you belong to G-d. You are not free to do as you please. You are His representative to those around you. You are His emissary. :~)

Romans 12:1-2 I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of G-d, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to G-d, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of G-d is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Those who have not accepted Yeshua as their Messiah do not have Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) living in them. These verses are not written for them and do not apply to them. However, they face a far greater judgment because they have rejected Yeshua. They face eternal separation from G-d in the Lake of Fire. If you are not sure where you will spend eternity please do not delay any longer. Write to us and we would be happy to discuss with you in more detail how you can be sure that you will spend eternity in heaven with G-d.
