Sh'mot 38:9-11 Then he made the court: for the south side the hangings of the court were of fine twisted linen, one hundred cubits; their twenty pillars, and their twenty sockets, made of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver. And for the north side there were one hundred cubits; their twenty pillars and their twenty sockets were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver.
This design was done for a reason. There was intellectual design here from above. Twenty represents the wicked. It reminds us of the fact that if one repents they can be pardoned and accepted by all. Is this not a wonderful thing? Twenty can also have a meaning of expectancy in scripture. This may represent expectancy. This would be an expectancy of some kind of judgment or it could be expectancy of mercy. Which one would be up to HaShem at the time.
Sh'mot 38:12 And for the west side there were hangings of fifty cubits with their ten pillars and their ten sockets; the hooks of the pillars and their bands were of silver.
Ten is a metaphysical and divine letter. It points to HaShem and greatness can be achieved through humility.
Sh'mot 38:13-15 And for the east side fifty cubits. The hangings for the one side of the gate were fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three sockets, and so for the other side. On both sides of the gate of the court were hangings of fifteen cubits, with their three pillars and their three sockets.
Six pillars represent the number of man and redemption along with transformation.
Sh'mot 38:16-20 All the hangings of the court all around were of fine twisted linen. And the sockets for the pillars were of bronze, the hooks of the pillars and their bands, of silver; and the overlaying of their tops, of silver, and all the pillars of the court were furnished with silver bands. And the screen of the gate of the court was the work of the weaver, of blue and purple and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen. And the length was twenty cubits and the height was five cubits, corresponding to the hangings of the court. And their four pillars and their four sockets were of bronze; their hooks were of silver, and the overlaying of their tops and their bands were of silver. And all the pegs of the tabernacle and of the court all around were of bronze.
Four represents the doorway to HaShem. All of this is how HaShem covers the wickedness of man temporarily, meaning it is repeated year after year. What a glorious thing!
This also points to the Son of G-d coming down as the "Son of man" to die in our place, rising again to present Himself to the Father above.
How much more glory do you think the offering of His Son for the taking away of our wickedness for eternity?
Sh'mot 38:21-23 This is the number of the things for the tabernacle, the tabernacle of the testimony, as they were numbered according to the command of Moshe, for the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, the son of Aharon the priest. Now Bezalel, the son of Uri the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, made all that the L-RD had commanded Moshe. And with him was Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and a skillful workman and a weaver in blue and in purple and in scarlet material, and fine linen.
Sh'mot 38:24-28 All the gold that was used for the work, in all the work of the sanctuary, even the gold of the wave offering, was 29 talents and 730 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary. And the silver of those of the congregation who were numbered was 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary; a beka a head (that is, half a shekel according to the shekel of the sanctuary), for each one who passed over to those who were numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for 603,550 men. And the hundred talents of silver were for casting the sockets of the sanctuary and the sockets of the veil; one hundred sockets for the hundred talents, a talent for a socket. And of the 1,775 shekels, he made hooks for the pillars and overlaid their tops and made bands for them.
The silver would represent that Yeshua was betrayed with a price,- thirty pieces of silver, that was probably given to the leaders by the people. We too are all bought with a price.
The silver was for the casting of the sockets and the sockets of the veil or for hanging up the veil. The silver was also for the hanging up of Yeshua whose flesh is our veil.
Hebrews 10:19-21 Since therefore, brothers, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Yeshua, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
John 6:53-59 Yeshua therefore said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. "For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. "As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also shall live because of Me. "This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate, and died, he who eats this bread shall live forever." These things He said in the synagogue, as He taught in Capernaum.
Sh'mot 38:29-31 And the bronze of the wave offering was 70 talents, and 2,400 shekels. And with it he made the sockets to the doorway of the tent of meeting, and the bronze altar and its bronze grating, and all the utensils of the altar, and the sockets of the court all around and the sockets of the gate of the court, and all the pegs of the tabernacle and all the pegs of the court all around.
