Sh'mot 2:14-15 ...Then Moshe was afraid, and said, "Surely the matter has become known." When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he tried to kill Moshe. But Moshe fled from the presence of Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well.
The type is also asked "Who made you a prince or a judge over us?
This same kind of thing is asked of Yeshua whom the type was and is supposed to point to.
Luke 20:1-2 And it came about on one of the days while He was teaching the people in the temple and preaching the gospel, that the chief priests and the scribes with the elders confronted Him, and they spoke, saying to Him, "Tell us by what authority You are doing these things, or who is the one who gave You this authority?" NAS
Moshe flees Egypt to hid. In contrast, Yeshua flees Israel and hides in Egypt. Later both are called out of Egypt.
Matthew 2:13-15 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the L-rd appeared to Yosef (Joseph) in a dream, saying, "Arise and take the Child and His mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is going to search for the Child to destroy Him." And he arose and took the Child and His mother by night, and departed for Egypt; and was there until the death of Herod, that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet might be fulfilled, saying, "Out of Egypt did I call My Son."
Sh'mot 2:16-19 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters; and they came to draw water, and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. Then the shepherds came and drove them away, but Moshe stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. When they came to Reuel their father, he said, "Why have you come back so soon today?" So they said, "An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds; and what is more, he even drew the water for us and watered the flock."
Reuel - means "Friend of G-d"
Here we also have a symbolic picture of Yeshua and the seven churches/synagogues. He keeps them away from the false shepherds and provides them with water.
John 4:13-15 Yeshua (Jesus) answered and said to her, "Everyone who drinks of this water shall thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life. "
Sh'mot 2:20 And he said to his daughters, "Where is he then? Why is it that you have left the man behind? Invite him to have something to eat."
They had left the type behind... In the future, Yeshua in contrast will lead and we will feast and follow Him to the earth.
Revelation 19:6-14"Hallelujah! For the L-rd our G-d, the Almighty, reigns. "Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready." And it was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. And he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are true words of G-d." And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brothers who hold the testimony of Yeshua; worship G-d. For the testimony of Yeshua is the SPIRIT of PROPHECY." And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True; and in righteousness He judges and wages war. And His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon His head are many diadems; and He has a name written upon Him which no one knows except Himself. And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of G-d. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. NAS
Sh'mot 2:21-22 And Moshe was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter Tzipporah to Moshe. Then she gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom, for he said, "I have been a sojourner in a foreign land."
Tzipporah - means bird.
Gershom - means "foreigner there"
Sh'mot 2:23-25 Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to G-d. So G-d heard their groaning; and G-d remembered His covenant with Avraham, Yitz'chak, and Ya'akov. And G-d saw the sons of Israel, and G-d took notice of them. NAS
G-d decided it is time for Him to act. Why now? HaShem acts when He wants to act. He acts no sooner or no later then when He decides. Does that mean we should not sometimes ask for change or deliverance? No, We should all ask now for our deliverance from our sin if we search for the will of HaShem. We still ask for His return and for peace in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem). The Father will tell the Son when it is time for Him to act to save Israel in the future. G-d is sovereign and His timing is perfect. Yet we still can say, Come, L-rd Yeshua or Come in the name of the L-rd Yeshua HaMashiach.
