Sh'mot (Exodus) Chapter 27 (Continued)

Sh'mot 27:9-19 "And you shall make the court of the tabernacle. On the south side there shall be hangings for the court of fine twisted linen one hundred cubits long for one side; and its pillars shall be twenty, with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver. And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings one hundred cubits long, and its twenty pillars with their twenty sockets of bronze; the hooks of the pillars and their bands shall be of silver. And for the width of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits with their ten pillars and their ten sockets. And the width of the court on the east side shall be fifty cubits. The hangings for the one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets. And for the other side shall be hangings of fifteen cubits with their three pillars and their three sockets. And for the gate of the court there shall be a screen of twenty cubits, of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of a weaver, with their four pillars and their four sockets. All the pillars around the court shall be furnished with silver bands with their hooks of silver and their sockets of bronze. The length of the court shall be one hundred cubits, and the width fifty throughout, and the height five cubits of fine twisted linen, and their sockets of bronze. All the utensils of the tabernacle used in all its service, and all its pegs, and all the pegs of the court, shall be of bronze.

The tabernacle was located in the center of the camp of Israel. This teaches us that G-d should be the center and focal point of our lives. The fence around the tabernacle reminds us that there is a separation between G-d and us. That separation is because of sin. Now the fence only had one entrance, one door. This shows us that there is only one way to G-d. Many people say there are many ways to G-d. This is not correct. There is only one gate to enter, one door to go through.

Yeshua explains this in the following passage.

Yochanan (John) 10:1-6 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. "But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. "When he puts forth all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. "And a stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers." This figure of speech Yeshua (Jesus) spoke to them, but they did not understand what those things were which He had been saying to them.

There are many religious leaders that are well know and well respected. They are even respected by those that are from other faiths. The whole world seems to stop and honor them when they die. Yeshua tells us that if these men are teaching a different way to G-d, they are thieves and robbers. What are they stealing? They are stealing men's souls. Don't be fooled by them. Some of these religious leaders claim to worship G-d and even claim to follow Yeshua but they never tell their people how to get to heaven. They encourage them to pray to the dead, pray to the mother of G-d (Sorry G-d does not have a mother), participate in various practices of the faith that do nothing to get you closer to HaShem. They are deceived themselves and those that follow end up lost themselves. It is truly a sad thing.

Yochanan (John) 10:7-12 Yeshua (Jesus) therefore said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. "All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. "I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. "The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly. "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. He who is a hireling, and not a shepherd, who is not the owner of the sheep, beholds the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep, and flees, and the wolf snatches them, and scatters them.

There is only one door to go through. Yeshua tells us that He is that door. He is the only way to a personal relationship with HaShem. The false teachers are wolves in sheep clothing. He is the only truth for eternal life.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, in order that we might know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Yeshua HaMashiach. This is the true God and eternal life.

The true Messiah has entered my life and has changed it so that I experience the truth of Him. If this were not so, I would not be here writing to you if He had not made a difference in my life. I would not waste my time if He was not the only way. Love is telling others the truth so they can receive this wonderful salvation. Those that take the chance and trust in His name alone for salvation will not be disappointed.

1 John 3:23-24 And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Yeshua HaMashiach, and love one another, just as He commanded us. And the one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And we know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of G-d. And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Yeshua HaMashiach, and in the Spirit of our G-d.

The blue represents He is from above. This is also our destination, our home above in the skies.

1 Corinthians 15:45-49 So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual. The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven. As is the earthy, so also are those who are earthy; and as is the heavenly, so also are those who are heavenly. And just as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

The purple represents His Royalty.

Silver is symbolic of redemption. We see silver also mentioned in Ex. 36:24. We also know Yeshua was betrayed for our redemption for thirty pieces of silver.

Mattityahu (Matthew) 27:3-5 Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? See to that yourself!" And he threw the pieces of silver into the sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.

Sh'mot 27:20-21 "And you shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the L-RD; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout their generations for the sons of Israel.

The oil represents the continuing work of Ruach HaKodesh. Yeshua was the anointed and would follow the leading of Ruach HaKodesh when He willing gave up His life for the people. Later as our High Priest He presented himself before the Father above. He is our King in this life and will be the future King of Israel.

Hebrews 1:8-9 But to the Son He says: "Your throne, O G-d, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your Kingdom. You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore G-d, Your G-d, has anointed You with the OIL of gladness more than Your companions."

Remember the letter for this chapter is Hey - meaning the Spirit of G-d or Ruach HaKodesh. It continues to fascinate us how each chapter corresponds so nicely with the Hebrew Aleph Beit. More proof that the Bible is the Word of G-d. :~)
