Sh'mot (Exodus) Chapter 26 (Continued)

Sh'mot 26:15-30 "Then you shall make the boards for the tabernacle of acacia wood, standing upright. Ten cubits shall be the length of each board, and one and a half cubits the width of each board. There shall be two tenons for each board, fitted to one another; thus you shall do for all the boards of the tabernacle. And you shall make the boards for the tabernacle: twenty boards for the south side. And you shall make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards, two sockets under one board for its two tenons and two sockets under another board for its two tenons; and for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side, twenty boards, and their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board. And for the rear of the tabernacle, to the west, you shall make six boards. And you shall make two boards for the corners of the tabernacle at the rear. And they shall be double beneath, and together they shall be complete to its top to the first ring; thus it shall be with both of them: they shall form the two corners. And there shall be eight boards with their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board and two sockets under another board. "Then you shall make bars of acacia wood, five for the boards of one side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle for the rear side to the west. And the middle bar in the center of the boards shall pass through from end to end. And you shall overlay the boards with gold and make their rings of gold as holders for the bars; and you shall overlay the bars with gold. Then you shall erect the tabernacle according to its plan which you have been shown in the mountain.

Sh'mot 26:31-37 "And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen; it shall be made with k'ruvim (cherubim), the work of a skillful workman. And you shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, their hooks also being of gold, on four sockets of silver. And you shall hang up the veil under the clasps, and shall bring in the ark of the testimony there within the veil; and the veil shall serve for you as a partition between the holy place and the holy of holies. And you shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the holy of holies. And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and you shall put the table on the north side. And you shall make a screen for the doorway of the tent of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of a weaver. And you shall make five pillars of acacia for the screen, and overlay them with gold, their hooks also being of gold; and you shall cast five sockets of bronze for them.

Five pillars - Five is the number of mercy or grace. Yeshua had five wounds on His body also.

The purple corresponds to His royalty. The scarlet is symbolic of the blood and the cost He endured for our sin. Remember the animal sacrifice was the "type" that pointed to the once and for all offering of Yeshua - "The REAL DEAL".

Revelation 19:13-14 And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The Word of G-d. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.

Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 1:18 "Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.

The gold represents His Deity and the bronze His judgment.

This also points to Him being the only door and way to the tabernacle above. The "type" on earth had only "ONE DOORWAY" into the presence of HaShem.

Hebrews 9:1-12 Now even the first covenant had regulations of divine worship and the earthly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle prepared, the outer one, in which were the lamp stand and the table and the sacred bread; this is called the holy place. And behind the second veil, there was a tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies, having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden jar holding the manna, and Aharon's rod which budded, and the tables of the covenant. And above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail. Now when these things have been thus prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle, performing the divine worship, but into the second only the high priest enters, once a year, not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance. Ruach HaKodesh is signifying this, that the way into the holy place has not yet been disclosed, while the outer tabernacle is still standing, which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, since they relate only to food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation. But when Messiah appeared as a High Priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

The same is true to get to the heavenly holy place. There is only ONE WAY.

Yochanan (John) 14:6 Yeshua said to him, "I am the "WAY", and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.

Yochanan (John) 10:1-6 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the "DOOR" into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. "But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. "To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. "When he puts forth all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. "And a stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers." This figure of speech Yeshua spoke to them, but they did not understand what those things were which He had been saying to them.

Revelation 3:20-22 Look, I stand at the DOOR and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
