Esther (Ester) Chapter 6 (Continued)

Ester 6:11 So Haman took the robe and the horse, arrayed Mordecai and led him on horseback through the city square, and proclaimed before him, "Thus will it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor!"

This is great! Haman gets the job of a servant, leading the horse. :~)

Mordecai represents Yeshua, arrayed in His heavenly splendor and coming for his bride, the true believers in Yeshua. This links us to His future rule as our Messiah and King. He is transformed from a lowly servant to a ruler. This gives a peak at the book of Revelation and the future generation that will be worthy of His return.

The sixth letter stands for Completion, Redemption, and transformation. It is also a link between events, generations, and even unites books.

Ester 6:12 Afterward Mordecai went back to the king's gate. But Haman hurried to his house, mourning and with his head covered.

Now Haman is in distress just as Mordecai had been the day before.

head covered - a sign of shame.

Ester 6:13 When Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him, his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him, "If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him but will surely fall before him."

You will not prevail against him - His family and friends seem to be familiar with the prophecy against the Amalekites.

Exodus 17:14 And the L-RD said to Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

1 Samuel 15:8-9 And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword. But Saul and the people spared Agag, and the best of the sheep, and of the oxen, and of the fatlings, and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them: but every thing that was vile and refuse, that they destroyed utterly.

A mistake from a past generation had consequences on future generations.

Had Saul obeyed G-d, the Jewish people would not be facing annihilation at the hands of one of Agags descendants.

Ester 6:14 While they were still talking with him, the king's eunuchs came, and hastened to bring Haman to the banquet which Ester had prepared.

Haman is lead off like a lamb to the slaughter.
