Ester 4:12-13 So they told Mordecai Ester 's words. Then Mordecai told them to answer Ester "Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews.
Ester �s position was not a guarantee of her safety. Only Adonai can completely protect and deliver from danger.
Ester 4:14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
This is the key verse in the book of Ester.
Relief and deliverance - Mordecai seems to be holding out hope that Adonai will intervene.
Mordekhai has given Ester instructions but Ester initially resists. This symbolizes the way that Yeshua instructs us through His Holy word the Bible. Often we know what we should do but we resist His will and want our own way.
Ester 4:15-17 Then Ester told them to reply to Mordekhai: "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!" So Mordekhai went his way and did according to all that Ester commanded him.
Ester begins to suspect that G-d has put her into the position of Queen for this purpose. However, she does not appear to be entirely sure of it. Here compassion for others makes her forget her concern for herself.
Ester must prepare herself to go before the king. Likewise the believers in Yeshua, the true church/synagogue, must prepare herself before being presented before the king of the universe. It has been nearly 2,000 years since Yeshua left us and returned to heaven.
2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the L-rd one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Ester 5:1 Now it came to pass on the third day�.
Ester presented herself before the king on the third day.
Will the believers in Yeshua, the true church/synagogue, present herself before the king of the universe during the third millennium?
