A small search party flew over the untamed lands around the Great Bay and bronzerider M'rik saw an island that would be the perfect place for the dragon Weyrs to expand. He signalled his wing to land and the riders, and their dragons, explored the great volcanic island.
All volcanoes seemed dormant and natural caverns could support hundreds of dragons for many turns to come. Then, bronze Mericth claimed a cavern in a mountain side as his new weyr. When the large bronze's bugle echoed throughout the slopes of the island, the search party knew that this island was to be their new home.
After a short discussion, M'rik declared the island as Coastakia Weyr and the dragons echoed their approval.
Now, it is Turn 63 of New Time and the Weyr has grown to protect eight Major Holds and everything in between. The Weyr has begun to thrive under its second weyrwoman, Salana and her weyrleader, (and Coastakia Weyr's founder) M'rik.
