What is New?
As of February 2007,  Hire A Bagpiper is supporting Peta in its world wide mission for ethical treatment of Animals and to stop Animal abuse.  I would like to encourage every visitor of my website to please take a few minutes to go to www.peta.org/ to find out more about the organization, how you can be active and help and how you can stop animal cruelties as they happen everyday especially in the fast food industry!
Don't be fooled by cute family, fun commercials on national TV by the US most biggest fast food chains. There is a unblievable brutality, animal abuse and suffering taken place everyday in slaughterhouses across the USA. Please take a few minutes and visit www.kentuckyfriedcruelty.com/
This is no bad propaganda, only the sad truth. Can you handle the truth? Spare lives, stop the abuse and boykott chain restaurants like KFC!
Thank you so much for your consideration and hopefully for your support!
Winter  2007 News Update:
New Website logo! By now you have probably noticed my new logo, posted on my website front page. A piping black bear. Let me clue you in what this is all about. For months now I have been searching for a crest, logo, that would not only represent my profession as bagpiper but also display my German heritage. The bear in the logo is the Berlin Bear, which is the official crest of the City of Berlin (Germany), the city I originally hail from. Even though that I spent most of my life in Hamburg, I consider myself a "Berliner". And of course what else would the bear do than playing the pipes? A similar logo has been used by the British Forces for the 1988 Berlin Military Tattoo. I have to give full credit to the organizers of the Tattoo for creating this image, however, I edited the logo so that I would not be confused with the original image. Furthermore I was not able to loacte any copyright on the image and I think I will be alright using it in its changed format.
