The concert can range from a short surprise Piping-Telegram to a full one hour (or longer) performance. I will perform traditional Scottish light music (airs, strathspeys, reels, hornpipes and jigs) as well as contemporary bagpipe music from Ireland, Canada, Australia and the classical style of Piobaireachd. Crowd favourites like Scotland the Brave, The Flower of Scotland, Highland Cathedral, Amazing Grace and Auld Lang Syne can be arranged. The Irish are as proud as the Scottish. Even as they share their Celtic roots, their are fine differences in their cultures and traditions. So why hire a Scottish piper on St. Paddy's Day? I am offering my services in an original Irish piper's full dress with rifle green doublet, cloak, caubeen, buckled broughs and Ulster and District tartan kilt. Saffron kilts are always connected to the Irish and so it is no surprise that my Ulster (province in Northern Ireland) and District tartan has its background color in saffron. The Ulster and District tartan is regarded to be one of the oldest tartans known.
In addition to the authentic Irish look I am also performing original Irish bagpipe music for your St. Paddy's Day Party. All time pub favourites like Whisky in the Jar, the Green Glen of Antrim, She walks through the fair, St. Patrick's Day, Wild Rover and Star of the County Down are only a few to name that can be requested. I can also accompany Irish dancers with a selection of Irish Reels and Jigs if you desire.
