Sunda-Bali: "Millenium Ritual"

Preface :
Creative process or creativity sometimes become the main back when talking about the world of art creation, and as if that words is a must not only as seasoning or accessory atribute, but also as key word. (Suhendi Afryanto-music observer)

Introduction :

To be influence to each other has become a habit in art performance
context in Indonesia.
This kind of context is not only come from outside Indonesian ethnic,
but also can be happen in the inner of Indonesian culture itself.
Balinese Gamelan Music which collaberated with Sundanese music idiom is
a fenomena of that "Cross Culture"

Bird's-eye view about the songs :
Sabilulungan composed by Koko Koswara which has been interpreted by Balinese people as the most popular song in their region, now is presented and proposed to be nearer to Balinese music context, this is meant as our gratitude to the admission of Sundanese music to be able to live and keep growing in the island of Gods.
Dikantun Tugas, a masterpiece of lady composer of West Java Iyar Wiyarsih, feels very energic with the presence of Balinese music, while Degung classical song Lutung Bingung, which packed in Balinese "Kebyar-style" is expected to bring closer the similarity of musical perception between Sunda and Bali.
Millenium Ritual or Sax Muh Undre Havet II is a composition written by Ismet Ruchimat in Norway 1997, represented in form and music style of Sunda. The feeling of "Scandic" and Sundanese ethnic will be heard to dominate to each other.
