      The 2008 International Conference on Applied Linguistics (ICAL) will be held in Oct. 24-25 at the National Chiayi University (Minsyong Campus), Taiwan. The 2008 ICAL conference will invite linguists to discuss research  about issues and thoughts in the areas of applied linguistics.

     The theme of the 2008 ICAL is--Global and Domestic Perspectives. Proposals addressing this or the following themes are welcome. All abstracts for presentation formats will be submitted for blind peer review.
