Jami and my graduation present from our parents was to go to Minneapolis on July 6-10. We flew in on a Friday, ate at Joe's Crab Shack, drove through The University Of Minnesota, and that night and Saturday night we went to the Basilica Block Party where we saw The Wallflowers, Semisonic, Indigenous, and Blues Traveler with 20,000 other people. It was a lot of fun. We spent Saturday shopping downtown Minneapolis and then went to the Art Institute, Electic Fetus-a really cool Ernie November type cd store-, ate at the Olive Garden, and partied at the Basilica. Sunday we spent at the Mall of America and then rode one ride at Knott's Camp Snoopy: Paul Bunyan's Log Chute. It was so much fun we had to go again! Then we drove to Rochester where we spent the next couple of days at my Aunt Barbs. That night we ordered Chinese-the best i've ever had, played pinball, listened to tunes, and watched tv. Monday we went shopping again, but after we test drove a vw bug :-) . We ate at Zorba's that night, a greek restaurant where the light cheese on fire. It was cool. Then Jami and i went and saw SHRECK. We then went back to my Aunt Barb's and stayed up until about 1:00 creatively packing-we had to find some way to fit all we had bought into our suitcases. Needless to say, I was sitting on mine. Our plane flew out of Rochester at 11:00 on Tues, and we had a two hour layover in Minneapolis. Jami and I are proud to say we didn't get lost in the airport!! And we made it home safe and sound. I had the time of my life and I'm pretty sure Jami did too. Thanks Mom, Dad, and Barb!!
