VETOBA
Vetoba means Vetal (The king of ghosts). He is not only revered deity of Arawali but acts as a watchman for the beautiful village holds arms in his hands in state of prepuredness to fight the perils of evil nature. His life and work is mentioned in Granthas (religious books) like Bhagwat, Matsyapuranas etc. Vetal is also known by other names such as Agyavetal, Iwalavetal, Pralayvetal.

Annual Jatra (Festival) held in Aravali, Taluka Vengurla, District Sindhudurg
Vetoba Jatra is held on Dev Deepavali (28th November 2008) in Aravali Taluka Vengurla. Jagbai Jatra is held on 27th November 2008 (Day before Dev Deeepavali). Jagbai Devi is migrated from Goa. Sateri Jatra is held on 29th November 2008( Day after Dev Deepavali).

How to reach Vetoba in Aravali village?
After reaching Sawantwadi railway station take a rickshaw or jeep to Aravali which is near Shiroda town.
