Who is Kuldevat
Kuldevat Sharvani Vetal located at Saligao, Goa. Mountains (means Revali) made by our ancestors which is called as goddess Sharvani is placed in Sharvani Mandir. Presently very few Salgaonkar stay in this place. Presently Pujari their is Mr. Bhikaji who is staying near by Mandir. Mandir is opened from 9 am to 12 pm. If Pujari is not their then we have call him from his near by residence. The Pujari is him self bhandari belongs to Salgaonkar family.

How to Reach Saligao
Soon I will give details of Hotel residence in near Mapusa Bus Station or Pedne Bus station. After reaching Mapusa Bus Station from where you take a kadamba bus to Saligao (market). Saligao is barely 6 kms from Mapusa. Their is walking distance from Saligao (Market) to Sharvani Mandir near the Saligao spring, Salmona.
How to Reach Advalpal
After reaching Mapusa Bus Station or Pedne Bus Station or Karaswada (Char Rasta) Bus stop go by Kadamba Buss to Assnora. Afterward pickup Bus or Rikshaw to Advalpal. Moolpurush Bal Vansha are located in Sharvani Mandir Corridor.
Geography of Saligao and Advalpal
Saligao is a town in North Goa. It is surrounded by the villages of Porvorim, Parra, Guirim, Sangolda, Pilerne, Candolim, Calangute and Nagoa and is in Bardez Taluka of Goa. It is 10 km from Panjim the capital of Goa, 6 km from Mapusa the capital of Bardez Taluka, and 3 km from the Calangute beach.
History of Saligao and Advalpal
Mr. Bhikaji (belong to Salgaonkar family) who is pujari of Sharvani Mandir in Saligao told me brief history of Salgaonkar. In 16th century their was forceful conversion to Christianity by Portuguese in Goa, So Salgaonkar ran outside Portuguese controlled area to nearby Maratha control region in South Konkan. After few period of time few of them settled in Advalpal which was at that time not in Portuguese control. Salgaonkar in Advalpal afterward came to Saligao and carry the Idol of their Moolpurush Bal Vansha was re-established in Advalpal. After independence of Goa, in Saligao Mr. Navso Vasu Petkar Salgaonkar made a small Mandir by covering Mountains of Goddess Sharvani which was already made by our ancestors. Then afterward big Mandir was build.
Where this Peoples spread in various places
Salgaonkar are settled in various places in Sindhudurg district and Ratnagiri district. After few period of time they settled in Advalpal, Goa.
Pervious surname before migration
I am not sure about previous surname it may possibly " Petkar" before migration from Saligao which is Mool place.
Gramdevat in Saligao and Advalpal
Their is no Gramdevat in Saligao as presently dominated by Christian colonies. The Gramdevat in Advalpal is Sharvani, Vetoba and Shiv Ling.

Festival of Birthday of Kuldevat Sharvani is celebrated in Sharvani Mandir in Saligao, Goa (9 am to 12 pm) on "Chitra Krishna 9" i.e. April 19, 2009 (Sunday). The remaining festival is carried on next three day "Chitra Krishna 10" , "Chitra Krishna 11" ," Chitra Krishna 12" i.e. April 20,2009 , April 21,2009 , April 22, 2009 in "Sharvani Mandir", Advalpal, Goa
