This is original idol of Shree Nagnath This is Murti of Shree Nagnath during festival where mukut of lord is attached to Shiv Ling.

Shree Nagnath is Lord Shiva with Nandi in front of him. Lord Ganesh murti is kept on left hand side as seen in photograph. During Festival of  Shree Nagnath , its Shiv ling is decorated by mukut of lord is attached to Shiv Ling. Shree Nagnath is prayed only by Nagwekars and their brothers who have changed their surname. It is to be noted that Vetal is Dwarpal of this Devats.

First Reach Tivim Railway Station in Goa, then take a bus to Mapusa Bus Station. Get bus (Shivoli- Chopde- Agarwada) from Mapusa Bus Station to Agarwada, near Chopde, Taluka Pedne, Goa for Nagnath Mandir. You can also take bus (Agarwada) from Pedne to Agarwada.

Mool Pace Nagwa, Taluka Bardez, Goa

First Reach Tivim Railway Station in Goa, then take a bus to Mapusa Bus Station. Get bus of (Arpora-Nagwa) from Mapusa Bus Station to Nagwa, Taluka Bardez, Goa for Mool place possibly nothing is their as per Rajesh Nagwekar.

During Portuguese forceful conversion in 16th century, peoples ran from Nagve, Goa to various part of South Konkan and changed their surname.

Where this Peoples spread in various places

During Portuguese forceful conversion in 16th century, Nagwekar ran from Nagve, Taluka Bardez, Goa to various part of South Konkan and Karnataka and changed their surname. Mr. Rajesh Nagwekar says that there where Devasthan in Nagwas  where presently Churches are built. They shifted their Murti from Nagwa to Agarwada during Portuguese period.

This people adopded various surname as below:

  1. Nagvekar : This people escaped from Nagva hence called themselves as Nagvekar.. They are settled in Ratnagiri and Kumta, Taluka Karwar, Karnataka
  2. Hatiskar : They settled in Hatis, Taluka Ratnagiri and changed their surname as Hatiskar. Gramdevat in Hatis is Bhaire Jugai. After reaching Ratnagiri Railway Station take a riskswa or bus to Ratnagiri Bus Station, from here pick up bus to  Hatis. There devat is also Tuljabhanvani as possibly they were fitting for Raja Shivaji whose Kuldevat was Tuljabhavani only.
  3. Pandye : Nagwekar during Peshwa period defeated Darodakhor by instruction of Khot of that village who named their surname as "Pandit" from where surname "Pandye" came. They are settled in District Ratnagiri.
  4. Joshi : Nagwekar engaged in Jyotishi work call themselves as Joshi. They are settled in District Ratnagiri.
  5. Choughule: They are settled in District Ratnagiri.
  6. Bhondwalkar : They are settled in District Ratnagiri.
