Himalayan photos and information
Here are some more pics of my Himalayans and information about Himmies.

The Himalayan rabbit is a small breed of rabbit, weighing on average of 3 1/2 pounds to 4 1/2 pounds. They have a body type of a cat, making them easy to handle for showmanship and a laid back personality that makes them wonderful for beginners and youngsters.
When shown they are stretched out, to show thier long length. They are the ONLY breed to be shown this way. The Himalayan comes in four colors, Black, Blue, Chocolate and Lilac.

Feeding:
For rabbits that are planning to be shown, you must feed your rabbits a strict limited amount of feed per day. You do not want an over-weight rabbit. It could get disqualified on the show table. I feed my Himmies 1/4 to 1/2 cup of good qaulity pellets per day. I feed them at night because they are more active at night and tend to eat better. If you have nursing doe's, you may want to feed them 3/4 cup per day. You can throw a little bit of good hay (Timothy or Grass Hay) in their cage once in a while. Make sure your rabbits have plenty of FRESH water at all times!! In the summer, make sure you keep your rabbits in a cool place. Rabbits can't handle the heat!!
