II. Description and Analysis of the Problem

In this report we will be describing the areas quarrying are being done and for our group, Brgy. Proteccion is our place of investigation.
As we reached the place, we were surprised by what scene we saw. For us who don't know what quarrying means, the scenery really shocked us. As we entered the quarry site, we can see many pile of sand, dump trucks, bulldozers and crushers on the place. In order for us to roam around the place, we should first ask permission to the one in charge. Then we explore the place and we first notice the crusher operating and separating the stones from the other stones up to the smallest one. After that, we went immediately to the riverside and saw the shocking effect of this activity to the stream.

IV. Recommendations and Solution
Although the products of quarrying might bring us benefits like in making roads, railways, houses, other structures and the water industry. Water industry because aggregates are needed to build and maintain our reservoirs and sewage treatment works. They have played a major role in the massive program launched by water companies to overcome shortages because as we all know aggregates are product of quarrying.
Quarrying might be hard to stop, but still we can formulate some solutions on the problems that this doing has brought to mankind. First we can post some slogans that demonstrate the effects of this practice in our society and also some proverbs that are related to saving the environment. We can also investigate and inform the problems the public of the major and partcular environmental issues confronting the problems that quarrying may bring. Furthermore we can strenghten or help organize local communities affected by the deterioration or destruction of their area or develop their capacity to engage in direct community action to confront the causes and immediate effects of their environmental problems. And lastly the government mustalso do their part on this problem. They should see to it that the operating sites for quarrying are legal and they should implement a law that limits the truckloads of sands so that the river will not be too affected.
