Chairman Nagata thanked everyone for helping proofread, type and retype, print, assemble, staple, label, and stamp the newsletters to go out in the mail the next morning. Minutes of the February 27 meeting were approved as circulated.

1. Committee Reports:

a. Golf: In the absence of any committee members, Donna Hoshide reported that everything is under control.

d. Program: Donna Hoshide is still soliciting trivia questions for night #1. Idamae Hamamoto, in the absence of (Daisy) Aloha (Makaimoku) Gellert, reported that no one has contacted Daisy about participating in the talent show for night #2, that Daisy is thinking of hiring talent to perform as classmates have not volunteered. Hopefully, people will be impromptu acts that night. It was also suggested that there be time set aside in night #1 for elementary schools to get together to plan something for night #2. Idamae to report back to Daisy about hiring entertainment for night #2.

Naomi suggested that the reunion committee members do something, or initiate something that everyone can participate in. Donna suggested asking Michael Payton to perform or if possible, he could get someone to entertain. She will contact Michael. Donna also suggested hiring a local comedian to entertain. Melvin stressed that the committee needs to have an agenda, that no one will probably volunteer to perform and there should at least be music. He also stated that at the May meeting, schedules of whats planned for both nights must be presented. Donna suggested that at the April meeting, committees should bring schedules of both nights programs; by the May meeting, this has to be firm.

Steve (Masa) Sumida and Kathleen Matsumura were suggested as possible camera people to take pictures at the reunion.

e. Prizes: Craig Miyamoto reported that Steven Nitura will donate prizes from Las Vegas. It was also stressed that the word raffle not be used and anything resembling a raffle be done legitimately.

f. Souvenirs: Patsy (Onuma) Nakamura and Byron Muramatsu reported that there is nothing new to add. Ralston stated that the logo for the shirt is REALLY nice and suggested that Kenneth Sakai should buy shirts for his whole company.

g. Craig Miyamoto reported that everything is up and running in his e-mail/website department.

h. Reception: In the absence of anyone from this committee, Naomi reported that June (Takahashi) Iki and her committee have met on their own and reported back to her that Albert Kauwe will scan attendees pictures from the yearbook to be placed on nametags. The picture will be small with the name in large print. Guests nametags will only have the Viking logo on it.

i. Registration: Naomi Matsumoto reported that the registration form ahs been reformatted and is included as part of the newsletter assembled tonight. Since the last meeting, 9 more classmates have signed up to attend. Melvin Matsumoto suggested a phone tree everyone on the committee should call 10 classmates to encourage people to come to the reunion.

2. Next Meeting: Tuesday, April 23, 6:00 at Ralston's. We will concentrate on the program details. Everyone needs to help fine tune every aspect of the reunion. We will also report on the responses of the 5, 10 or more people we called to encourage to come to the reunion.

Respectfully submitted,
