Good Ideas!

-Use an old pair of tights as a sweater! All you need to do is cut a whole in the crotch, cut off the end of the legs, and you have a sweater for when your cold before/after class(they're really warm too!)!

-Another use for old tights: cut the legs off and sew the wholes up. Now you can use this as a homemade theraband!  Make sure they're pretty strong, stretchy tights first though!

-Make a dance scrapbook!  Take quotes, pictures, and anything else you want and make it all in to a great scrapbook!

-Cut the bottom off of an old leotard and voila! You have a cute sport top(I did this one, it works great!)

-If you have too soft pointe shoes you just don't want, don't throw them away! Take the box and shank out: now you have some soft ballet shoes(you might only want to do this if the pointe shoes aren't too old and frayed- otherwise they will look really bad!)

-Get some moleskin at the foot care section of any store, you can put it on the tips of your pointe shoes after they are frayed(but moleskin is very slippery at first, make sure you put some rosin on!!).

-Put hairspray on the tips of your pointe shoes. It keeps them from fraying plus it makes them smell good! But don't put too much, jsut a spray or two from about a foot away.

-Put some clear nail polish on the ends of your drawstrings and ribbons.  It stops 99.9% of fraying problems!
