Our goal when starting or training any horse, is to create a horse that enjoys learning and being with people. We feel that a horse's training is a lifelong journey, and that our role is to create a solid foundation, upon which all other training can be based. We do not have a "standard" training program; we tailor our training to the learning style of the horse, as well as to your riding style and goals. It is very important to us to study each horse to find how it best learns so that the training process can be as natural and non-confrontational as possible. We offer a variety of training programs; - Initial ground work - Starting under Saddle - Retraining; correcting issues and/or training new skills such as lateral work, jumping, trail riding. - Training and advertising for Sale We can start horses english and can provide show training, including showing, in Dressage, Hunter, and Jumper. We can introduce western tack/riding, but we are not western specialists. We have found lately that western riders appreciate basic dressage training on their western horses and value that we train with snaffles, not curbs. We encourage owner participation, and lessons are included in the training rates, but if that is not possible we will send you progress reports, and video if desired. We only work with a limited number of horses at any given time to ensure we can give each horse individual focused attention. WE DO NOT RIDE HORSES UNDER 3 YEARS OF AGE.

Rates: Introductory Training $650.00 for 5 weeks. Additional weeks are $120.00 each. Rates include outside board and gst. Inside board is available for an additional fee.

When is a good time to start your horse? We find that putting 60 days on them as 3 or4 year olds and then giving them 2-6 months off works well. It gives them a nice foundation and then time to grow physically. Sending your 3 year old for training in the summer or fall, allows you to give him/her time off, and then bring your baby back into work in time for the spring schooling shows. Having patience now, will pay off with a sound and happy horse for the long run!
