WHAT ARE THE SCHOOL HOURS???

        *First Bell - 8:05am  (No Late Bell)

        *Delayed opening - 9:35am          

        *Half-Day Dismissal - 12:15pm

        *Emergency Closing- 12:30pm

        *Regular Dismissal - 2:25pm

 

 

WHAT DO I DO IF MY CHILD WILL BE ABSENT OR LATE???

Call the School “Call for Safety” number 535-8OO0 X7104 between the hours of 11:00pm and 8:00am

 

 

IS THERE “SNACK TIME”???

        Yes there is a designated time for snack.  Students are    encouraged to bring a nutritious snack.

 

 

 

WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION???                          

        When dropping off and picking up children,

cars should be parked on adjacent streets  

not than in the school lot.

 

 

 

 

WHAT ENTRANCE SHOULD BE USED WHEN VISITING
THE SCHOOL???

Use the entrance that is to the left of the front of the building. It faces the parking lot and is nearest to Mrs. Pilchman’s office. Also, remember to sign in at the office
and obtain a Visitor’s Pass.

 

 

 

WHERE DO I LEAVE MY CHILD IN THE MORNING AND PICK HER UP IN THE AFTERNOON???

In the morning, kindergarteners line up on the blacktop in a designated area. For working parents there is supervision beginning at 7:35 am. Please do not leave your child unattended on the blacktop prior to that time. Pick-up in the afternoon is at the Kindergarten doors, which is the entrance right in front of the round driveway. In the event of inclement weather, all children in the morning are let inside at the kindergarten doors.

 

 

 

CAN MY CHILD BUY LUNCH???

        Yes. There are several days that lunch can be      purchased. On a day when you would like to send in         money for lunch, it is best to put it in an envelope and    indicate your child’s name and what you would like him        to eat.

 

 

WILL MY CHILD RECEIVE A REPORT CARD???

        Yes. Report cards are distributed three times during the   year and scheduled Parent/Teacher Conferences occur twice    during the year, in the fall and in the spring.

 

 

 

 

WHAT KIND OF SUPPLIES WILL MY

CHILD NEED???

The Kindergarten teachers have collaborated to provide you with a list of supplies

        that your child will need on the first day of school. A list is enclosed so that you may purchase the items over the summer. The PTA is going to set up a “Hillside” list at Staples or other local store and an online vender such as schoolpop.com to make it easy for you. But feel free to buy them anywhere you want.

 

 

 

                HOW WILL I KNOW WHAT DAY(S) MY CHILD HAS GYM???

                Your child’s teacher will inform you of what day(s)                 he has gym so that you may dress him appropriately. In         addition, you will also be advised of your child’s                    scheduled day for library, art, music, etc.

 

 

 

WILL MY CHILD NEED A BACKPACK???

Yes, your child will need a backpack. We discourage buying a rolling backpack for kindergarteners. This is to ensure the safety of all the children.
